"Musicians have a rare opportunity and
a responsibility to touch peoples' souls. My hope is that the emotion I put
into the piano will provide the listener with a few moments of pleasure. If
I can bring a little relief to someone's otherwise difficult day, then I
will have succeeded as a musician."
In her debut CD, Wendy McNally performs
solo piano literature composed by some of classical music's most highly
regarded virtuosi pianists, including Scarlatti, Clementi, Mozart, Liszt and
Rachmaninov, as well as compositions of Poulenc and Prokofiev. Life is
Good is comprised of studio recordings as well as sparkling selections
recorded live in performance.
"Wendy McNally's recording Life is Good
is a pleasure to listen to," notes Thomas Lloyd, conductor and artistic
director, Bucks County Choral Society. "From beginning to end there is a
refreshing clarity of sonority, line and inflection that illuminates the
broadly varied textures of the repertoire Wendy has chosen. ... Life is
Good is a CD worth savoring." Back to top
