Wendy
McNally earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education (cum laude) from
Ithaca College, New York, a master of Music in Piano Performance from the
University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and an Artist's Certificate in
Chamber Music from Cours Internationale de Musique, in Morges,
Switzerland. She has been invited to perform in solo, chamber, and
pedagogy Master Classes with Freddy Arteel, Seymour Fink, Amanda Vick
Lethco, Alexander Peskanov, Thomas Schumacher, and Boris Godowsky.
Wendy
has taught piano at Elon College, NC, UNC at Greensboro, and the
Greensboro Music Academy, where she was director of the Piedmont Piano
Competition. She was chamber music coach/accompanist at Cours
Internationale de Musique, Chapel Hill Chamber Music, NC, UNC Greensboro,
and the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra Guild Concerto Series. Wendy was the
principal keyboardist for the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra under the
direction of Maestro Paul McRae.
As a
concerto competition winner, Wendy has performed with the UNC Greensboro
Symphony Orchestra, the Greensboro Orchestra Guild, and the St. John's
Festival Orchestra, PA. She has toured the east coast, Midwest, and Europe
accompanying soloists in recitals and competitions.
Wendy was the pianist for the Bucks County Choral Society from 1997-2004,
and was featured in performances as a solo pianist and orchestral
keyboardist in such works as Carmina Burana. Wendy was an adjunct
professor at Lehigh University, where she accompanied the Choral Arts
program, chamber and solo recitals, and musical theatre productions, as
well as working in the pit as orchestral keyboardist. She also
taught private piano and keyboard harmony at Lehigh while running a
successful private studio in her home, and at the Musical Arts Academy of
Bucks County in Doylestown, PA. Wendy was the featured soloist in
Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" on the Lansdale Concert Series (PA),
accompanied concerto auditions for the Allentown Symphony Orchestra, and
recently released her first CD, Life is Good.
Wendy
now lives in Havre de Grace, MD and accompanies vocal students at the
University of Delaware, but her favorite job is being Joshua's Mommy.
